I wish there was more Bill Landis writing out there.
Here's a fantastic guide to the bygone food of Times Square by the late Landis and Michelle Clifford.
I have the late era Sleazoid Express and Metasex issues but if anybody has the original '80-'83 run of Sleazois I want it!

Sorry don't have any, but Video Crash is a blog now. www.videocrash1.blogspot.com
The gyro place next to the male strip club and subway outlet with an arcade sounds like one of the coolest locales that's ever existed on earth. Those were the days.
Michelle will sell you those Lars.
In the late 80s jack S bootlegged nearly the entire run and mixed it with Jim Morton's brilliant TRASHOLA (the true basis for Incredibly Strange Films book) and released it as one mammoth spiral bound delicacy.
I also have a few of the original printing including the masterpiece ECCO issue and a full run of Michael Weldon's original newsprint Psychotronic. Plus a heaps of others from the period.
Maybe I'll bootleg the bootleggers and put out a 1000 pg xerox 80s/90s zine compendium for just us !
I hope the Bill anecdotes keep coming. I know Jimmy had lots to say in the past but has been quiet for many years. Jimmy did around 300 interviews with people from the era - expect the definitive word on the scene to be released one day. It was supposed to come out 12yrs ago so I'm still patient.
I'm glad I've got that one photo of Bill smiling in front of a cinema when I visited. A nice way to remember him by.
you guys seen this... a great blog from an old zine mate.
here is a real trip down memory lane...
